The NCFE Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering focuses on the importance of hygiene, the food handlerâ€™s legal responsibilities and their role in monitoring food safety procedures, and how to handle, prepare and process food safely. The objectives of the qualification are for learners to understand:

Achieving this qualification learners are required to successfully complete one mandatory unit. This qualification consists of one mandatory unit:
Unit 01 Food safety in catering
*A minimum age of 18
*A good level of written English
Internally assessed and externally moderated portfolio. Candidates must successfully complete unit to be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
